OpenSUSE Leap 15.1 Is Performing Very Well On AMD EPYC

This testing was done from the Btrfs partition of openSUSE by default and the Tumbleweed/15.1 performance for the basic SQLite workload is in much better shape than under 15.0.

There are some workloads though where using XFS/Btrfs is still slower albeit is one of the design choices by SUSE with their decision of default file-systems though those wanting to change to an alternative file-system can easily do so via the installer.

Both Leap 15.0 and 15.1 were tested with the default GCC7 compiler though there was the minor version bump in between releases, but the large OpenMP gains here may be due to kernel improvements.
