With BioShock Infinite are just numbers for the open-source AMD driver as there was an odd situation of the game crashing on Ubuntu 16.04 with the NVIDIA Linux driver. Here at 4K we have the Radeon R9 Fury running at just under 60 FPS.

Under the open-source Tesseract game, the Radeon R9 Fury was running just shy of the GeForce GTX 970. The Radeon R9 290 meanwhile was competing with the GeForce GTX 680. Again, the open-source driver stack is with Mesa 11.3-devel from the Padoka PPA and using Ubuntu 16.04's default kernel with the DRM back-ported from Linux 4.5.

With Xonotic at the lower image quality settings, the Radeon R9 Fury was still competing around the level of the GeForce GTX 970.
