Debian Wheezy GNU/kFreeBSD: Slower Than Linux
With the Crafty and FFmpeg programs, Debian GNU/kFreeBSD goes back to being slower.
Debian GNU/kFreeBSD had a big performance problem for OpenSSL and was running at almost a third of the speed of PC-BSD 9.0 while the Linux operating systems were four times faster.
Well, at least for an Intel Core i7 system, the FreeBSD-based operating systems were much slower than Linux, even when comparing Debian GNU/Linux and Debian GNU/kFreeBSD with nearly the same user-space.
