For the most demanding Unigine Engine tech demo that's publicly available, Unigine Heaven, the frame-rates between Linux and Windows for the high-end AMD Radeon graphics card were very close but slightly favoring the Microsoft operating system.

Unity with the Compiz window manager did very bad with the Warsow open-source game compared to when it was run on the KDE desktop with KWin, but still Windows 7 came out as the performance frontrunner.
