OpenCL Linux Benchmarks With The Latest Linux GPU Drivers

This week there's already been a high-end OpenGL comparison using the latest proprietary drivers with newer AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. Those OpenGL results were followed by a 2D NVIDIA/AMD Linux performance comparison and now to end out the week are some OpenCL compute benchmarks.

The OpenCL tests were run on the same graphics cards as used in the recent days... On the NVIDIA side was the GeForce GTX 680, GTX 750 Ti, GTX 760, GTX 770, GTX 780 Ti, and GTX TITAN. On the AMD side was the Radeon HD 7950, R9 270X, and R9 290. The performance comparison was limited by the graphics cards within my possession, which in recent years is more NVIDIA GPUs than Radeon hardware as I end up having to buy many of the AMD GPUs due to AMD's lack of interest in Linux reviews.

From this assortment of graphics cards, various OpenCL GPU benchmarks were run via the Phoronix Test Suite from the host system with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x86_64 while using the NVIDIA 337.19 and AMD Catalyst 14.4 Linux proprietary drivers. These updated Linux OpenCL results are mostly being put out today for reference and comparison purposes.
