NVIDIA Is Still Killing AMD Over Linux OpenGL Performance
One can hope that with Valve pressuring AMD for improved Linux drivers that Catalyst will be beaten into shape in 2014.
There are clearly some weird AMD Catalyst Linux problems at hand, which remain unsolved even though I've first reported on the Hawaii Linux GPU performance issues back in November. Catalyst performance issues don't affect all supported Radeon GPUs; as showed last week, the Kaveri Radeon R7 Graphics were close between Windows and Linux.
With Xonotic at ultimate quality settings, even the GeForce GTX 550 Ti and GTX 650 were running faster on Linux with their latest binary blob.
