System Setup:

Our test system was in the same configuration as we left it in the ATI Radeon CrossFire On Linux article. The hardware consisted of an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor clocked at 4.00GHz, ASUS P5E64 WS Professional (Intel X48), 2GB of OCZ DDR3-1333MHz memory, Western Digital 160GB STA 2.0 hard drive, and an OCZ EliteXStream 800W PSU. We had included the previous results from the Diamond Radeon HD 4850 512MB and Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 512MB CrossFire testing and then the VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 X2 2GB graphics card. Once again, on the software side was Ubuntu 8.04.1 32-bit with the Linux 2.6.24 kernel.

Our Doom 3, Quake 4, and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars the tests remained the same. Testing was done the same with no AA, then 8x AA, and finally 8x AA with 8x AF. We were using the 1.2.0 Beta 2 of the Phoronix Test Suite. On the following pages are our ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 Linux CrossFire results.
