Catalyst 14.4 Has Advantages Over Linux 3.15 + Mesa 10.3 Git

If running Unigine Heaven on the open-source drivers with stock settings, don't be fooled by the numbers as tessellation and other functionality isn't in use by the open-source driver compared to Catalyst!

With Unigine Sanctuary, one of Unigine's older demos, the performance is quite respectable now on the open-source driver compared to Catalyst; sans the Radeon HD 6950 that does comparatively quite poor compared to the other HD 5000/6000 series graphics cards on R600g.

Like Sanctuary, Unigine's Tropics test also runs well on R600 Gallium3D while those demanding the best performance are still likely best off with Catalyst.
