The x264 results were not too great for the newest member of the Llano family.

AMD processors tend to do very well with OpenSSL and the A8-3870K is no different. The A8-3870K Llano at stock speeds was delivering more RSA 4096-bit signs per second than the Core i7-870, i7-920, and i7-970 processors. When the Llano was overclocked to 3.5GHz the APU was even faster than the six-core Core i7 990X Gulftown that also boasts Hyper Threading. However, all of the newer Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs remained faster than Llano for OpenSSL.
