The results aren't too much of a huge surprise. The R600 Gallium3D driver with the HD 4000/5000/6000 series hardware is the sweet spot these days for the open-source AMD GPU support. The RadeonSI Gallium3D driver is quickly improving for the HD 7000 series and newer -- and will be in better shape with the forthcoming LLVM 3.4 -- but it still isn't up to scratch the R600g at this time.
