The first results are a bit of a disappointment but not a surprise. As mentioned in an earlier article, the BioShock Infinite performance on the Radeon open-source driver code has been in a heavily regressed state. That regression has yet to be addressed so for now the performance is just bad on the open-source driver code for GCN 1.1 and newer.

DiRT Showdown has the same issue as with BioShock, as previously shown.

Counter-Strike: Global offensive though is a different story. This rather light game by today's standards was running very close between RadeonSI and AMDGPU-PRO. AMDGPU-PRO was still faster, but not by too much.

The demanding Unigine Valley benchmark was perhaps most surprising with it being very refreshing to see how Linux 4.6 + Mesa 11.3-dev is performing compared to the proprietary AMDGPU-PRO OpenGL component.
