Examination:

With the CW01 being based upon the award-winning Lascala LC18, the front panel inherits many traits. However, the CW01 ships without the integrated 7" touch screen pad -- the CW01 instead has opted for connectivity with audio, USB, and Firewire. Covering the two external 5.25" bays on the front of the CW01 are optical drive covers, which still allow the drive tray to extract/protract. Below the external 5.25" drive bays on the right hand side is a door concealing the integrated card reader. Supported by the CW01 card reader are 52 types! The card reader supports Smart Media, Compact Flash, Secure Digital, Multimedia, and Memory Stick -- along with supporting the derivatives for each of the major formats. Covered by this door is also a single external 3.5" bay.

On the left hand side of the SilverStone CW01 is the power and reset buttons along with the power and HDD LED indicators. The front panel connections include microphone and headphone audio, two USB 2.0, and one IEEE-1394 Firewire connections. All of these connections are gold plated to allow for superior performance and the labels for each of the ports are printed in gold. The CW01 audio ports are compatible with Creative Lab's Sound Blaster Live, Audigy, and X-Fi series along with standard HD audio devices. These headphone jacks are also 1/4" rather than the common 1/8" interface. The SilverStone logo in the upper left hand corner of the case is gold to fit with the SST-CW01B-R color scheme.
