ATI 8.25.18 Display Drivers
Version: 8.25.18
Release Date: May 24, 2006
Highlights
· New Product Support
· Xorg 7.0 Support
· Display Power Management Signaling Support
While the 8.25.18 driver release had implemented changes for the detection and installation of the drivers on X.Org v7.0.0, there continues to remain no installation support for Fedora Core 5. As we had mentioned last month when introducing the ATI 8.24.8 drivers, it will likely not be until the 8.26 drivers next month where some of the Livna changes will be adapted into ATI's official installer. Until then, the Livna RPM repository is the place to attain these new drivers for FC5 Bordeaux setups, while there is of course a lagging period for the new drivers to appear. Until the installation support has come, we have resorted once again to a Fedora Core 4 configuration.
