ATI Radeon X1800XL + FSAA
Although this may greatly reduce the number of "jaggies" and make the image quality much cleaner, FSAA certainly comes at a performance cost. To examine this frame-rate downfall on the newly supported X1800XL 256MB, we used Enemy Territory, Doom 3, and Quake 4 to examine the average frame-rate at each of these different FSAA samples. The FSAA setting was applied using the aticonfig command listed on the previous page. On the following page are our results from these tests.
