HDMI Audio Support Being Worked On For Raspberry Pi VC4
Broadcom developer Eric Anholt's latest work on the VC4 DRM kernel driver for Raspberry Pi hardware is for enabling HDMI audio support.
Missing currently from the fully-open VC4 driver stack is HDMI audio support, sadly. Fortunately, however, he thinks it should be easy getting HDMI audio working for the supported SoCs. He's currently prototyping the code but from the sounds of it we could possibly be seeing some code soon.
More details on the HDMI audio work and other VC4 RPi driver progress over the past week can be found from Eric's weekly blog post.
