TPM 2.0 Support Continues Maturing In Linux 4.4
Trusted Platform Module 2.0 support has been around for a few kernel cycles now and with the forthcoming Linux 4.4 kernel it will be in much better shape.
Last month I wrote about how with the code lined up the developer was saying TPM 2.0 is ready for distributions and that code is now set to land as part of the sent out security subsystem pull request.
James Morris sent out the security subsystem update that is largely unexciting except for the TPM 2.0 work. Jarkko Sakkinen is now officially the co-maintainer of the TPM device driver and the update includes a new tpm_buf struct, seal/unseal support for TPM 2.0, and other work around Trusted Platform Module 2.0 support to make it ready for use.
If you're wondering about the differences with TPM 2.0, there's some comparison via Wikipedia.
