Phoronix Test Suite 6.6 Officially Released For Open-Source Cross-Platform Benchmarking
Phoronix Test Suite 6.6.0-Loppa is now officially available as the latest quarterly update to our open-source benchmarking software for Linux, BSD, Solaris, Windows, OS X, and Hurd platforms.
Phoronix Test Suite 6.6 as the Q3'2016 update to our GPL benchmarking software/framework includes:
- Phoromatic has various HTML user-interface improvements when accessing the web server, particularly for small form factor devices.
- Phodevi (the Phoronix Device Interface abstraction library for hardware/software) has support for showing the GPU temperature when using the AMDGPU-PRO driver and various other hardware detection improvements. There is also support with Phodevi for exposing more mdstat RAID details.
- pts_Graph now shows min/max results (when applicable) on multi-way comparisons, extra disk details are now shown on system tables, various color tweaks, and other graphing-related improvements. There is also initial work on a pure HTML-based graph renderer for use in e.g. email clients where SVG/JS/restricted-HTML-elements are available.
- Colored terminal text output on supported systems.
- Local (non-OpenBenchmarking.org) test suites are now included as part of the phoronix-test-suite list-suites output.
- Updates to the OpenBenchmarking.org handling of phoronix-test-suite upload-test-suite.
- Various other improvements and fixes.
You can download Phoronix Test Suite 6.6 via Phoronix-Test-Suite.com or via GitHub. Contact us for your commercial support needs -- including custom engineering services, test profile development, and more -- around the Phoronix Test Suite, Phoromatic, and OpenBenchmarking.org.
Phoronix Test Suite 6.6 will be succeeded by Phoronix Test Suite 6.8-Tana prior to the end of 2016.
