LINUX GAMING
Well over a year ago we shared that two new PC action games were being ported to Linux. These games were Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor, but throughout 2008 updates on the Linux clients status were bleak. This February we then learned that LGP has been working on Shadowgrounds: Survivor for Linux, while work on the original Shadowgrounds port to Linux seemed to have been dropped. A month later we were then playing Shadowgrounds: Survivor on Linux through a closed-beta program at Linux Game Publishing.

LGP planned on releasing Shadowgrounds: Survivor for Linux on the 30th of March, which is still reflected on its product page. However, we are now a month past that date and this action title is still missing.

As part of LGP's beta program, we can confirm that a second beta of Shadowgrounds: Survivor was released on the 22nd of April. The Linux client is still actively being worked on and we would anticipate seeing at least one or two more betas before they have a version ready for release. With that said, sadly, it looks like we are still a ways from seeing the public release of this title.

If we happen to hear a revised release date from Linux Game Publishing for Shadowgrounds: Survivor, we will be sure to post an update. At this point we are just weeks late compared to years late with the Unreal Tournament 3 Linux client.
