LINUX GAMING
Earlier this month we shared that LGP was starting work on another game port, which was subsequently revealed that this game they were porting to Linux was Sacred Gold. Sacred is an action role-playing game originally released on the Windows platform in 2004 with Sacred Gold, which is made up of Sacred, the Sacred Plus expansion, and the Sacred Underworld expansion, in 2005.

Less than a month after the Linux Game Publishing announcement was made, they are now readying the beta program for this RPG. We received the confirmation this morning.
Linux Game Publishing is starting a new beta test. The test is for Sacred: Gold Edition Beta 1 As a registered approved Beta Tester, you are pre-approved for participation in this test. Further instructions will follow when the test opens.
We'll provide more information from the closed beta program once Sacred Gold is available. Linux Game Publishing hopes to ship this game on August 1, 2008, but that date is tentative.

X3: Reunion is another game being ported from Windows to Linux by LGP and that was scheduled to ship on August 1, 2007. In reality, the game still hasn't shipped, but it's getting close. We're in that beta program too, and it's current up to X3 Beta 8.8. Beta 9 is expected to be the release master. Bandits: Phoenix Rising is another LGP title in beta, but there's no release date on that and its beta program has been disturbingly quiet.
