NVIDIA 352.09 Linux Driver Brings G-SYNC Improvements, Fixes
NVIDIA introduced yesterday their first beta driver in the new 352 Linux / Solaris / FreeBSD graphics driver series.
The NVIDIA 352 series for Linux isn't too incredibly exciting unlike some of the past driver branches that brought a lot of new features, but there's still some very reasonable changes with this new driver. The NVIDIA 352.09 Beta brings support for configuring the swapping behavior of quad-buffered stereo visuals, added reporting of ECC error counts to the NVIDIA Settings control panel, fixed various OpenGL bugs, and there's a number of G-SYNC changes. The G-SYNC work includes support for this adaptive monitor frame-rate technology when sync-to-vblank is disabled as well as enabling G-SYNC by default when the Unified Back Buffer is disabled.
The other NVIDIA 352.09 Linux driver changes are all quite nominal fixes. More details on these NVIDIA 352 Linux driver series changes can be found via this NVIDIA DevTalk post.
