Wine 1.7.27 Is Still Working Towards Direct2D Support
While more and more first-rate games come to Linux, if you still need Wine for running some older Windows titles, the latest bi-weekly development release is now available.
Wine 1.7.27 is out and it's yet another modest but not too especially noteworthy update. The official changes note:
In total there are 22 known bug-fixes with this latest update.
Sadly there's nothing new to report on in the Wine land with regard to the Direct3D command stream improvements for significantly bettering the D3D gaming performance, any major work on the Direct3D 10/11 work, or any reversal in being interested in the Gallium3D 9 state tracker.
