Qt 5.3 To Focus On Performance, Stability
While the Qt 5.1 and 5.2 updates brought a large number of new features to the Qt5 platform, the Qt 5.3 release is being planned as the next Qt tool-kit update more about improving performance and stability.
Lars Knoll presented today a proposed Qt 5.3 schedule now that Qt 5.2 should finally be shipping next week. Lars was quick to say he's aiming for Qt 5.3 to be less about features and more focused on stability and performance.
Under the plan at Digia, the final release of Qt 5.3 will come on the 29th of April while the feature freeze goes into effect 14 February, the alpha on 20 February, the beta on 13 March, and the release candidate on 10 April.
