The hope is to officially release Fedora 19 next week while out quietly today is the release candidate.

For those not subscribed to Fedora's test-announce list, F19 RC1 is available now. Fedora 19 is past the change deadline and this release candidate is being offered to those helping out in running last minute tests.

With the near-final images no longer being in an early development state with lots of debug cruft built in, Fedora 19 benchmarks will finally be coming quite soon on Phoronix!

See the many Fedora 19 articles for more on the features coming to this Red Hat sponsored Linux distribution update.

Fedora 19 is a very exciting release and will hopefully be officially released next Tuesday, 2 July.
