LGP Begins Pushing Their Outdated Crap In Ubuntu
Linux Game Publishing is beginning to release their games for sale within the Ubuntu Software Center. To get started, they released Sacred Gold for Ubuntu -- a game that was released for Windows eight years ago, wasn't really popular ever, and was originally ported by LGP back in 2008/2009.
The LGP blog states "We’re proud to announce the beginning of a relationship with Canonical bringing you the greatest Linux ports of your favourite games right to your desktop within the Ubuntu Software Centre. LGP is launching with Sacred Gold, a classic RPG with eight unique playable characters ranging from the more well known classes like Wood-Elf to Sacred’s unique characters such as the Seraphim. Sacred Gold includes not only the original game, but Sacred: Underworld as well, where you set out on an epic quest to the very gates of hell itself."
Back in 2004 when Sacred Gold was released, it only garnered average reviews and when LGP originally released the port for Linux in 2009 it didn't gain much traction there either. This is the first announcement though out of Linux Game Publishing in many months.
Maybe next they'll continue with finally getting out Bandits: Phoenix Rising?
