GNOME's Mutter Updated For Latest Wayland Support

For those wishing to experiment with the latest Wayland technologies, short of running the Weston compositor, the bleeding-edge development GNOME stack continues to serve as an excellent alternative with quickly adopting support for new functionality.

GNOME's Mutter Wayland back-end has now been updated for XDG Shell unstable version 5, introducing the meta Wayland surface role, etc. This work is in relation to GNOME Bug 744452 for updating GNOME's Wayland support against the latest XDG-Shell work.

In general most things should be working well for running the GNOME desktop and its common applications natively under Wayland, this is just continued work on making best/optimal use of it. GNOME 3.14 is running very well natively with Wayland and I'm very exciting to see how the situation (and performance) pans out with the upcoming GNOME 3.16 release in March.
