GNOME 3.23.1 Released, First Step Towards GNOME 3.24

GNOME 3.23.1 has been released as the first development milestone towards GNOME 3.24 that will be released next March.

The GNOME 3.23.1 release was slightly released due to being "a little more bumpy than normal" as more GNOME modules transition to the Meson build system.

GNOME 3.23.1 has several Epiphany browser changes including a re-licensing of the code, address bar changes, HTTPS Everywhere added by default, a fix for the GDM manager for Wayland logins after a Xorg logout for a user, various GNOME Calculator improvements, and various other alterations.
