GNOME Shell & Mutter Just Landed More Wayland Improvements
GNOME Shell and Mutter didn't see new 3.17.3 releases for last week's GNOME 3.17.3 development release, but today they've released the new package versions.
Florian Müllner announced this morning the 3.17.3 versions of GNOME Shell and Mutter. With these new versions come more Wayland improvements in the road toward GNOME 3.18 this September.
GNOME Shell 3.17.3 has handling of touch events for the on-screen keyboard on Wayland, in order to make touch more friendly on Wayland. This update also reinstates left/right movement to the window menu and various bug-fixes.
GNOME Mutter 3.17.3 meanwhile adds the X11/Wayland clipboard interaction support, VM monitor layout hints on Wayland, and various bug-fixes.
