PHORONIX TEST SUITE
What a delight waking up and seeing the latest milestone crossed for OpenBenchmarking.org: there have been more than 18 million test profiles and suites downloaded from OpenBenchmarking.org via the Phoronix Test Suite!

As of this morning, OpenBenchmarking.org crossed 18 million test/suite downloads and is presently at 18,002,550 as of writing this article. It was just two months ago that OB crossed 17 million test/suite downloads! This is counting the number of tests/suites downloaded from our cloud platform via the Phoronix Test Suite client for carrying out Linux/BSD/Solaris/Windows/Hurd benchmarks.

This 18+ million test/suite downloads doesn't even count the number of times each test was run, nor does it include all of the tests/suites utilized prior to the debut of OpenBenchmarking.org with Phoronix Test Suite 3.0, and it doesn't include numbers from those locally caching the tests/suites on their intranet via a Phoromatic server. The number is quite staggering if I may say so myself for an open-source benchmarking software primarily targeting Linux systems. OpenBenchmarking.org launched as a component to the Phoronix Test Suite in early 2011.

For the 18 million plus test/suite downloads, there are currently 834 test profiles and suites, more than 600,000 systems actively using OpenBenchmarking.org for results collaboration, more than one million public benchmark results, and more than seven million searches conducted on OpenBenchmarking.org of our software/hardware benchmark database.

If you are fond of all the open-source benchmarking work accomplished via the Phoronix Test Suite, OpenBenchmarking.org, and Phoromatic, feel free to contact us if your organization is in need of any support services, custom engineering, project sponsorship, or any other commercial-related matters concerning our open-source benchmarking suite. If you are just an individual wishing to help out, aside from happily accepted patches via GitHub, joining Phoronix Premium and making a Phoronix tip/contribution also goes to support these software efforts by allowing me more time/resources for making further improvements to the software for the community. Thanks for your support and helping us achieve more than 18 million test/suite downloads so far!
