'an active internet forum poster using the online name Kebabbert was found dead in his apartment under an enourmous amount of paper this early morning. Initial diagnosis suggests his death was due to severe lack of water and nutrition. It was later discovered that the huge amount of paper in which the body was found was the result of several hardcopy printouts of the leaked solaris 11 source code. According to the coroner he seemed to have died peacefully given the serene expression on his face.'

Not good unless Oracle bless it.

It is not good for anyone,
unless Oracle get out of the closet and confirm that it planned to continue making it available under CDDL, anyway.

In this state ATM, people just can have a look at it,
but anyone needs to just continue contributing code to Illumos, like before, written on their own, like that code does not exist!

Oracle might use it for marketing value,
representing themselves as an Open company with "kick-ass" supported product, Solaris 11 is.

Anyway, worst thing Oracle can do for itself and anyone is to keep quiet about it.
Just remember you are not allowed to use Solaris11 leaked code DIRECTLY, unless Oracle says it is OK.
        it is not released yet.

I'd like to know the source of the leak. In the meantime, FOSS developers can't use it, only play with it.

As a developer, it's dangerous to even look at nonfree source code. Legal issues.

Oracle knows nobody cares about slowlaris, so nobody will even look at its code. There was OpenSolaris, but who ever cared?

Quite a few actually as there was enough intrest to create http://openindiana.org/ and https://www.illumos.org/ after OpenSolaris was killed. Illumos lists thirteen partners and sponsors and there seems to be many active developers too. I don't see any reason to mock their effort.

Wow, the 2nd evilest software megacorporation takes over a company founded by 1st generation hackers and then one of there new employees does something like this??

Or perhaps oracle is hoping to poison other projects in preparation to attempting to shut them down (claim they used their source).
