  • Quicksync via wine

Just wondering if anyone has come across a howto that allows quick sync to be used in wine applications? I know you can use nvidia's cuda encoders via wine but I haven't seen anything about Quick Sync. I just picked up a cheap Acer with an i3 that has Quick Sync and would like to get it running somehow in linux (stupid intel has no plans from what I read of supporting it in linux).

Check vainfo before you say you could not use it with Linux. But it is harder to find an app to use it - not just examples.

vainfo just shows the decoding capabilites, not the encoding capabilites.

Don't the latest doc drops include the video parts?

          Indeed, it appears it does.
