Hi... I've a problem with the ati drivers....
With the 8.42 and 8.43 too, when I boot my fedora 8, doesn't display gdm.....and hangs with a black screen.... before it was random... now avery boot....
I fix (everytime) this, booting in single mode, editing fglrx--->vesa and rebooting........ the drivers works.... but: games crash...
I'm sure that fglrx work, because glxgears goes faster than radeon drivers, and 2D is much more faster.
My config:
Ati Radeon X1050 DDR2 (256MB) 128bit AGP
asrock AM2nf3-vsta
fedora 8
help! this problem is very annoying......
ps: my agp aperture is 64MB (I read somewhere that can be a problem??)
pps: compiz doen't work..... but with radeon driver, yes..
