I wish they'd create something for Gstreamer like DXVA for DirectX. It would speed up development for many applications. Maybe if it was already available, we would have had hardware decoding for flash by now.

I think the question is why is this still hosted separately and not part of the gstreamer repository at freedesktop.org?
