  • How to set the AGP transfer mode with fglrx?

The title says all. How can I set the AGP mode with the fglrx driver? The "AGPMode" Option in xorg.conf is ignored. And I don't want to modify the kernel-sources every time.

Try setting it in your bios.

I have, doesn't work. I have only two options in the BIOS: 1x/2x/4x and 1x/2x/4x/8x. With the first one the screen stays black and the computer doesn't boot. Maybe the card/rialto-chip can only AGPv3. So I have to do this in software.

Hm, seems that I have to continuing modify the kernel sources. AGPMode only works for the radeon driver and AGPMask and AGPv3Mask doesn't work anymore with the fglrx.

File a feature request in the fglrx bug tracker?
