  • Gtk+ Front end for ATI power settings

I've made a primitive little program (with tray icon) which gets/sets the power level on ATI cards (via "aticonfig" program). FGLRX is of course required.

NOTE: I never tested anywhere else but on my ATI/AMD Mobility Radeon X1600! Use at your own risk.

Since however it's just a front-end, aticonfig shouldn't allow anything stupid I guess. It's using the --lsp and --set-powerstate=X [1..3] arguments, nothing else.

The program is licensed under GPLv3.

Get the source (autotools) here: http://members.chello.sk/ales/gap-1.0.tar.gz

Feedback is welcome, if it picks up I might do some additional options, but I always felt the need to switch power levels on my laptop when on battery for example.

If something like this already exists let me know!

Great tool. Very useful. I'm creating a PKGBUILD for Archlinux to be uploaded to AUR.

    UPDATE: uploaded to AUR

I always wondered why the fglrx guys never included a Powerplay frontend; a section in CCCLE would be nice. A GTK frontend for the whole CCCLE package would be nice as well.
Anyways, I will test this on my 200M and see who it goes.
