    Not sure if vaapi rewrite with vpp, sdl drop, ffmpeg 2.x, egl support is only bugfixing :-)

        I'm surprised they're going forward with dropping SDL.

        Seems like the type of application that SDL was made for.

          I think he misread the original article. The first line goes as such:
          "Kodi 14, which we gave the codename ?Helix?, is shaping up to be what is often called a ?stability? release."

          But if he had read the whole thing, it then goes on to list all of the major new/dropped features (like the ones you just mentioned).
