I remember reading several articles about how a few years ago, engineers from different companies agreed to base their 2010 LTS releases on 2.6.32. Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu etc.. Great for everyone.
Now the opposite has happened.
Official LTS are 3.10 and 3.14.
RHEL is 3.10
SUSE is 3.12
Ubuntu is 3.13
Debian is ??

AFAIK for Debian 8 it will be 3.16

Who said that it can easely be that Debian just decide to use 3.14 . Lets say Ben continue to maintain 3.2 till 2016 and than took 3.14 from Greg .

For wheezy there was 6 months between choosed kernel and freeze and planed jessie freeze is in november .
