    Notable changes for mutter is that mutter branch is now merged into master and wayland compositor can be started using the "mutter" binary.

    Same goes for gnome-shell, where gnome-shell-wayland is merged into gnome-shell.

      I don't know if GNOME 3.14 will ever make it to Ubuntu GNOME 14.10.

        No. That is very unlikely. You can probably use a community repo however.
