Linux System Requirements
Minimum: Linux Ubuntu 12.04, Dual-core from Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz, 1GB Memory, nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeaon HD2600/3600 (Graphic Drivers: nVidia 310, AMD 12.11), OpenGL 2.1, 4GB Hard Drive Space, OpenAL Compatible Sound Card
whereas for windows :
Recommended: 800 mhz processor, 128mb ram, 32mb+ video card, Windows XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection
Just imagine, if there would be any aaa game, linux would need like 16-core 8ghz cpu with 6x vga to compensate its software "performance"
You have to be quite stupid to believe those requirements...

They can tell Valve if the game runs as good on Linux as on windows...

They have the github for that.
You will have to create an account for that though.

Can't take the requirements listed in Steam too seriously though. It's like the ones that list OS as "Ubuntu 12.04".
Just because you use an entirely different distro doesn't mean you can't run it.

Wait a minute
Since when could you run two Steam Source games at the same time? I'm on Ubuntu 13.04 and I can alt tab between L4D2 and HL2 without a problem. I didn't even know you could run two source games on the same account at the same time, much less the same partition/Steam install etc. . .
