    I'd say this release is pretty important for Arch RadeonSI users as it enables OpenGL 3.3

    For anyone with LLVM 3.4.1. Previously it required 3.5.

    The patch for LLVM 3.4.1 to enable OpenGL 3.3 is specifically for radeonsi. r600g is not affected.

    That should already have OpenGL 3.3 with linux 3.14 and mesa 10.1.
