    Thank you all very much for the input.
    Good to know that the richland cooler would just fit in.

    At this point I still cannot really decide what to do. I have more options than before we started discussing this.

    Option 1 (260€)
    AMD Richland A10 6700T
    FM2+ Mobo
    8GB 2400 Mhz RAM
    => - expensive

    Option 2 (270€)
    AMD Kaveri A8 7600
    FM2+ Mobo
    8GB 2400 Mhz RAM
    => - have to wait and radeonSI = slower than Option 1
    => + might be more future proof (HSA, radeonSI might get better than r600)

    Option 3 (230€)
    Intel Core i3 4130T
    1150 Mobo
    Sapphire Radeon R7 240 GDDR5
    => + cheaper; can use old 4GB 1333 RAM
    => +/- CPU faster than I need it
    => - Graphics on same level than Option 2 despite GDDR5 cause 20% less StreamProcessors but higher overall TDP of 65W vs 45W with Options 1 and 2 + Risk of overheating the 3TB HDD due to tight fit with the R7 240
    => - useless / disabled iGPU, less RAM

    Option 4 (150€)
    AMD Athlon 5350
    FM1 Mobo
    Sapphire Radeon R7 240 GDDR5
    => same + and - as option 3
    => - even slower CPU, still 55W TDP = 10W more than options 1 and 2

    Option 5 (50€)
    Sapphire Radeon R7 240 GDDR5 only
    => E350 CPU maybe to slow to even feed the R7 properly
    => very cheap

    ###########

    Overall the system goes slower AND cheaper from Option 1 to 5 while power consumption / heat peaks at option 3 and goes down until Option 5 finally reaches same TDP level than Options 1 and 2.
    It all comes down to how much money I want to spent.
    Still upgrading case or PSU are no options I consider (due to costs, higher power consumption, not being able to solder, etc.). For heavy gaming I still have my TowerPC.

    Maybe I decide on this next week. Weekend will be busy.
    I whish all of you a sunny one
