ow yes, now i remember about this, it's a game engine in java.

Yup, it's Java with C++ wrappings for performance crucial elements (you write in Java and it calls C++ bits where needed).
It sports a nice integration with Blender too, and its editor it's based on the Netbeans platform, quick is quite snappy.
