Huh?.. Does the 295X technically use crossfire to link the two GPUs even though it is one card in one slot?..

As far as I know, yes.

As far as I'm aware, all dual-GPU cards, including nvidia, use crossfire/SLI. That being said, the actual memory capacity they have is really halved.

          $1500... LOL
          LOL

          ...

          LOL
Great for everyone who thinks that $1500 is a small price to pay for nothing but ONE WEEK worth of BRAGGING rights to a bunch of game-dorks whose opinions are meaningless to begin with.

Why one week? Because two things happen in one week; the price drops in half, and it gets replaced with something even more OMGAWESUM!!!!

This is obviously not a card aimed at games. No game will utilize all this power for several years to come. It's obviously a card for 3D artists. For studios it might be well worth it to pay 1500$.

You doesn't hear about Titan Z, right?

Just think about Eyefinity or 4K, or "4K Eyefinity".

It is. AMD already has a line for professional cards, the firepros.
I guess miners will be interested in that too.

Anyway, there are quite a number of games that will need something like that to push out 60+fps at 4k, with every details to the max.

Oh, and for what it's worth, I'm very disappointed by this card. Go read any review, it's not nearly as good as one would expect it to be.

According to the reviews that I have read, it performs like 290X CF. It uses slightly more than twice as much power as a single 290X. It costs about the same as two 290X's plus water cooling blocks.

So it is precisely what everybody expected it to be.

As already mentioned, this is not a workstation GPU. It isn't optimized for workstation software, so for the same price you could get a much more power efficient GPU that could probably perform even better.

This card is targeted toward gaming on UHD or 3x+ monitor setups. If you have anything less that, then yes, this is an incredibly stupid card to buy.

Have you not seen the reviews for this? While the price is outrageous, it is justifiable. Especially for bitcoin miners.
