Will this land in Ubuntu 14.04?

Not at this moment. Maybe in a later LTS refresh? (i.e. around 14.10).

Damn, do you think it will be possible to install in 14.04? I have a friend with a Asus laptop that have one of those touchpads, and the hardware button for rightclick just wont work. Seems to be fixed in this release of xf86-input-synaptics.

I have a Lenovo Yoga, so this is good for me.

I wish the synaptics driver would have an option for reverse scrolling, without having to invert values manually and the ability to use the bottom right corner for right click.

    man synaptics

    Option "RBCornerButton" "integer"
Which mouse button is reported on a right bottom corner tap. Set to 0 to disable. Property: "Synaptics Tap Action"
Option "VertScrollDelta" "integer" (if it accepts negative value's)
Move distance of the finger for a scroll event. Property: "Synaptics Scrolling Distance"

    Thanks.

It feels as if setting VertScrollDelta is just a bit of a hack.

Nope, integers include negative numbers. Nothing hacky about it.

Okay. Ubuntu should just implement this into Settings, the other methods to gain reverse scrolling don't work in a lot of applications.

    man synclient
