Some Debian TC Memberes have a Conflict of Interest?

this is why i 100% think there was a Conflict of Interest going on in the voting
With Bdale Garbee’s casting vote this week, the Debian technical committee finally settled the question of init for both Debian and Ubuntu in favour of systemd.

Unexpected! So, systemd is de facto standart now.

Yay, now systemd can start the process of ignoring patches and input from Ubuntu religiously, while complaining that they don't submit back to the project...

            Mark Shuttleworth:
We’ll certainly complete work to make the new logind work without systemd as pid 1.
            Wait, what?

I was not expecting this so soon. I had to do a double-take.

              Thanks for the article.

Great. Now we just need Debian to adopt Wayland.

in a blog post entitled Losing graciously
That's a poor way to look at it. I don't think anyone really lost because of this decision (unless Mark was dreaming of upstart taking over the world). Ubuntu devs should be happy they no longer have to maintain Upstart, and can focus on Mir or their new file manager.
