Phoronix: AMD A10-7850K Radeon R7 Graphics Comparison

The latest benchmarks of the AMD A10-7850K APU to share on Phoronix and to complement yesterday's Windows vs. Linux OpenGL comparison are benchmarks of the APU's Radeon R7 Graphics compared to numerous AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards.

What's the clock of the memory? I wonder if the relatively higher performance of the lower power skus found in anandtech's review is somehow related to a memory bandwith bottleneck. It would be really cool if someone could explore this aspect and run graphics benchmarks with really high clocked memory.

      DDR3-2133MHz.

The Xonotic tests look good for not having 24k memory but I think furmark could of benefited more by it.

Why is this NVIDIA 520 so awfully slow? I guess there won't be a market anymore for these low end cards.

It'd be nice to compare this to other integrated gpus

Like the Intel ones, rather than just discrete graphics cards.

Seconded. Comparison with dedicated cards is fine, too, but of course it would make sense to compare in-chipset graphics or on-CPU / APUs with it as well. Especially since dedicated cards have their own memory while APUs have system memory and here we have possible bottlenecks in memory controllers and esp. the memory itself.
Stop TCPA, stupid software patents and corrupt politicians!

Typo in page 2: "In Unigine Valley the Radeon R7 Graphics on the Kaveri API were about the same speed as a GeForce GT 240.". API => APU.

Micheal, out of curiosity, what case are you using?

Also, why is the 7850 so much behind the 550 Ti? There is something wrong. Your benchmark results seem inconsistent and thus unreliable...

No idea, AMD sent it out with the rest of the Kaveri stuff.

Driver changes? All of it is reproducible and documented via PTS/OB.
