Too bad your articles tend to attract the most aggressive people that know about free software. As if they are going to scour the Internet and its millions of mailing lists to find any hint of progress...

              For those looking towards more serious open-source RPG game solutions/engines, I would recommend the RPG'ish Battle for Wesnoth, Flare, and others.
