    I really hope I'll be able to export to animated webp soon, if this doesn't.

      And they also removed the need for libunity in their PPA builds that blocked the DEBs install in Debian since Nov 23. ( yeah yeah they warn to not to use them on Debian, BUT they work great )

      I did bypass the libunity requirement by creating a fake empty package, to live and learn:
      #apt-get install equivs
      #equivs-control libunity9
      #vim libunity9 (edit a bit of info )
      #equivs-build libunity9
      #dpkg -i libunity*.deb
