The majority of them can be fooled with a rubber mockup of a fingerprint. Good riddance.

Consider you have a phone with fingerprint scanner implemented as a main button. So, everytime when you press that button it scans you fingerprints. And what then it do with your fingerprints? I don't think that it is a very practical idea to wear a rubber mockup everytime. It better to control that device.

Moreover, fingerprint security is enough for ordinary user. Who cares about the privat information of Mr. John Smith if to get that information presupposes making a rubber mockup of his fingerprints? It is easy if you can invest time and money, but what will you get in result? Information that Mr. John Smith like to watch midget gay porn?.. Silly.

You contradict yourself. Obviously you care about privacy (a part of freedom), otherwise you wouldn't have posted this.

I'm care about privacy, but I'm not contradicting myself. One of my points is that one can crack password of Mr. John Smith for fun with a little cost, but only crazy peaple will make a rubber mockup of Mr. John Smith's fingerprint for that purpose. Another point is already explained enough. Done.
