Hi all,
It's been a while since I checked in here. I have a couple of older Pundit-R machines that use the ATI 9100 IGP chipset. I user these machines as MythTV frontend boxes that sit at a couple of TV's in the house. Both machines are currently running the following kernel and ati-drivers packages:
Kernel -> 2.6.19-gentoo-r5
ati-drivers-8.28.8-r2
The main requirement I have is that I must use the S-video output on these machines to drive the TV.
Now that MythTV is going through a major upgrade I'm building a new backend server and will need to upgrade these remote frontend machines to run mythtv-0.21 at the same time. My question is whether there is a newer ati-driver package that will still support the 9100 IGP AND allow me to send all output to the s-video outputs on the box. The last time I checked in here a year ago the pair I'm running above was the best I could do.
As always I appreciate what you folks do here at Phoronix. Great site.
Cheers,
Mark
