does Unigine Heaven 4.0 or Unigine Valley 1.0 work with recent git? It didn't work before due to GLSL (geometrical shaders or something). Should we expect to work with official OpenGL 3.3?

IIRC that's a bug in Unigine Heaven (and maybe in Valley?), not in mesa
